Early Childhood Ireland’s Arrivals and Collections Record – Under Regulation 24 in the Childcare Act 1991 (Early Years Services) Regulations 2016 ‘A registered provider shall ensure that each preschool child attending the service is checked in and out of the service by an employee or an unpaid worker’.
Use this record book to check children in and out of the service when they are being dropped off and collected by parents/guardians.
Record the name of the person dropping and collecting the child. Alternatively, the name of the employee/unpaid worker responsible for checking the child in and out. Also, record the time the child arrives and leaves the service.

The Arrivals and Collections Record does not replace the Attendance Record Book.
