Apply for Garda Vetting

Apply for Garda Vetting

Welcome to Early Childhood Ireland’s Online Vetting.

Members can now use this online system to process Garda Vetting applications for potential employees. The process is quick, efficient and easy.

1. The applicant fills out the NVB1 Vetting Invitation form in full – signs, dates and ticks the consent box. There is a special Vetting Invitation Form for Under 18’s and a parent consent form also.

2. The applicant provides two forms of identification – photo identification and proof of current address. A list of the acceptable Identification can be found on the NVB1 form.

NB: The employer must retain the NVB1 Vetting Invitation Form and good quality identification documents (photo identification and proof of address) in the employee file along with their vetting disclosure. This is an important step as the National Garda Vetting Bureau may carry out an audit and request that copies of these documents are forwarded to them.
For further information on the Garda vetting process please see the Garda Vetting Webpage

*Please note that Garda Vetting turnaround times are 10 working days due to increased volume of applications with the National Vetting Bureau.
