The Let’s Get Ready campaign

The Let’s Get Ready campaign

The Let’s Get Ready campaign is being coordinated and supported again this year by the DCEDIY. This campaign aims to support settings, parents and primary schools to ensure that the transition to primary school is as easy as possible for children. In a new development, there are also materials to support the transition from home to pre-school. It includes links to the Mó Scéal materials developed by the NCCA in Irish and in English for parents to fill in to share information for their child’s new pre-school or primary school. There is also a blank postcard for children to draw themselves, or indeed anything they would like to for their new teacher. You can also access leaflets for parents to support the development of independence with their children.
