New Apt: Director of Policy & Communications

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Dónall Geoghegan as the new Early Childhood Ireland Director of Policy and Communications. Dónall has worked for the last four years as an independent consultant, specialising in public affairs and management. He developed and led two Community Outreach Programmes, for the digital switchover and most recently focusing on the introduction of postcodes.  He previously served as General Secretary to the Green Party and as Programme Manager to the party in Government from 2007 to 2011.

He has considerable experience within the Community and Voluntary Sector, including senior advocacy roles with The Wheel and the National Youth Council of Ireland. Before this he worked for Foróige and as a teacher.

We look forward to benefiting from Dónall’s wealth of experience as we continue to advocate on behalf of our members and the wider sector.
