Roundwood Community Pre-school

Roundwood Community Preschool are recruiting for an AIM support role. Join a great team of Early Years Educators, working within a friendly and supportive community. 

Academic year; 2022/23
morning session, 9.30am – 12.30am, part-time
Monday – Friday.

Job Purpose: 
To facilitate an inclusive environment, ensuring all children can fully participate in the Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) Programme. To act as a positive role model and implement a high-quality Montessori/play-based curriculum under the guidance of the national quality frameworks, Aistear and Síolta, both indoors and outdoors. To work as a crucial part of the preschool team to guide, observe/record, and supervise children in a safe and caring environment.

Core Duties & Responsibilities:
To follow the policies and procedures of the service at all times.
To conduct observations, learning stories and daily records.
To contribute to the planning and implementation of holistic curriculum goals; addressing emotional, social and cognitive development.
To organise materials and resources to ensure that they reflect the children’s emerging interests and abilities.
To implement a Montessori and play-based curriculum that models positive dispositions and supports learning progression for all children.
To develop and support parental involvement strategies.
Adhere to Children First; National Guidance for the Protection and Welfare of Children.
To perform other reasonable and relevant duties as may be required.

Flexible and adaptable
Garda Vetting will be required as part of the recruitment process.

Qualifications and Experience:
A minimum of FETAC Level 5 in Early Years Education.
Advanced certificate or degree is preferable.
Strong understanding and experience in Early Childhood Education.
