Follow up on Garda Vetting links

It’s a very busy time of year for Garda Vetting, so please be sure to follow up on Garda Vetting links with your applicant to ensure that they have received and completed the link sent to them by the National Vetting Bureau. In some cases it is possible that this link will end up in a junk or spam folder of your email account so please ask applicants to check this folder once you have completed the application. You can check if an applicant have completed the link by tracking the application on the National Vetting Bureau website. To do this, enter the applicant’s ECI001-2022*** reference number and their date of birth into the National Vetting Bureau website:  https://vetting.garda.ie/Track

Disclosures in junk mail

Once the application has been completed, our Early Childhood Ireland Garda Vetting team will send you an email with the Disclosure. These Garda Vetting Disclosures can also end up in a junk email folder so please also check here if the application has been completed. If you notice the email has gone to your junk mail, it’s a good idea to mark the sender as safe so that future communications don’t end up in the same place.

Renewing your Garda Vetting every 3 years

The Early Years Quality and Regulatory Framework and best practice recommends that you have all your employees re-vetted every three years. The re-vetting process is the same as the Garda Vetting process and is a free service for all Early Childhood Ireland members. To apply find a checklist of the documents you need to apply click here.

If you have any queries please see the Garda vetting section on our website for further information. You can also check out our FAQ section to see answers from our team of experts.
