Training Schedule: Autumn 2017

Thank you for filling in our Expression of Interest forms. We have now scheduled the following programmes to commence in Autumn 2017:


  • Suite of Nurturing programmes -Nurturing is a suite of new programmes developed by Early Childhood Ireland. All the Nurturing workshop content is underpinned by the Irish Frameworks Aistear, Siolta, Department of Education and Skills (DES) Education Focused Inspection and Regulatory compliance.

  • Making Learning Visible – Documenting the Early Childhood Curriculum – Documenting the Early Childhood Curriculum and making learning visible is a key requirement of the DES Education Focused Inspections. This programme is delivered over three workshops and will support educators document children’s learning and use this documentation to plan relevant and meaningful learning experiences for children.

  • Preparing for your Department of Education Focused Inspection – this programme supports managers & educators in planning and preparing effectively for the Education Focused Inspection. It is delivered over three workshops and uses interactive teaching methods to look at the inspection process and explore the four areas of the DES Quality Framework. Throughout the workshops, links will be made to your own practice providing you with the knowledge, skills, resources and strategies to work with confidence towards your DES inspection.

  • First Aid Response (FAR) – the Health and Safety Authority (HSA) have announced that as and from 31 December 2017, it will only recognise the PHECC First Aid Response (FAR) as meeting the needs of Occupational First Aid (OFA) in all work places.
