60,000 children are wearing their pyjamas into 1,285 early childhood settings across Ireland today, with the funds raised by sponsorship helping to support charities working with children under the age of 6 who have additional needs.
In light of the ongoing weather conditions and Status Red weather alert in parts of the country, National Pyjama Day 2018 is postponed to Friday 9th March.
In a busy pre-school setting children often like to retreat to a quiet space; to gather their thoughts, read a book or to rest for a while. What does this space look like in your room? Do you make spaces like this with the children? With Pyjama Day fast approaching, we are looking for examples from practice of restful spaces so we can share inspiring and innovative practice.
Early Childhood Ireland is delighted to launch National Pyjama Day 2018. The theme for this year is Innovative Projects for Children: Indoors and Outdoors. The proceeds raised on the day form a Pyjama Day fund, from which grant amounts are allocated to a number of charities.
