Calling all early years providers

The deadline for receipt of the Independent Review of Costs survey is Thursday 12th April. ECI encourages all providers who have not yet completed their survey to do so as a matter of urgency. This piece of work is critical for the future of the sector and the results will without doubt influence early years sector policy and budgets for a number of years.

Editorial: Child Protection and the 2016 Regulations

The fact that child protection policy fell out of the revised regulations in 2016 is a matter of real concern to ECI. We see this as a matter of best practice, which the early years sector is committed to meeting, and the best interests of children availing of ECEC services. We hope our efforts support the Minister and DCYA in remedying the current legal lacuna and look forward to further constructive engagement.
