Access and Inclusion Model (AIM)

The Access and Inclusion Model (AIM) provides a range of supports to enable children with a disability to meaningfully participate in the ECCE preschool programme. Parents/carers/legal guardians and preschool providers make AIM applications jointly, through an on-line system.

More receiving government funded childcare

The DCYA recently announced that over 200,000 children now avail of governmental childcare schemes. This includes 119,000 children taking part in the ECCE programme.

Year in Review: 2016

2016 was a year dominated by change both here in Ireland and across the world stage. Early Childhood Ireland’s main focus was on the developments which impacted on our sector such as the roll-out of the Access and Inclusion Model (AIM) and of course the Affordable Childcare Scheme (ACS).
