Pyjama Day 2018 postponed

Pyjama Day 2018 postponed

February 28, 2018

In light of the ongoing weather conditions and Status Red weather alert in parts of the country, National Pyjama Day 2018 is postponed to Friday 9th March. We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause. We feel this is the safest course of action for participating services, taking into account the safety and best interests of children, parents, and staff members.

While not all parts of the country are as badly affected by the weather, National Pyjama Day is about coming together as a community to celebrate this wonderful occasion in settings all over Ireland. For this reason, we feel that postponing the event so that as many settings as possible can safely take part is best.

This will also ensure that there is sufficient time to deliver packs and materials to all services who have registered to take part in the day.

We will keep all services informed via text and email of any further updates. Please also keep an eye on the Early Childhood Ireland Facebook page and National Pyjama Day Facebook event page.

Thank you so much once again for registering to take part in National Pyjama Day. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or concerns.

Stay safe everyone!

Best wishes,
The National Pyjama Day team
