Early Childhood Ireland Barometer 2026

Early Childhood Ireland Barometer 2026

The Early Childhood Ireland Barometer has, for nine years, tracked public attitudes to Early Years and School Age Care in Ireland.

In 2026, the Barometer takes a significant step forward. Alongside our annual national opinion poll, we now publish a policy analysis that tracks government progress on the commitments shaping the Early Years and School Age Care system.

Together, these strands provide a clearer picture of public expectation, policy delivery, and the gap between the two.
