Sequences project update

New Erasmus+ project “SEQUENCES”

February 22, 2017

Early Childhood Ireland is delighted to be one of eight European partners in an Erasmus+ project entitled “SEQUENCES”- Self and external Evaluation of QUality in EUrope to Nourish Childhood Education Services.

Funded by the European Commission, this exciting project aims to support quality in European Early Years settings through the creation of a practical self-evaluation tool kit based on the report of the Working Group on ECEC “Proposal for key principles of a Quality Framework for early Childhood Education and Care”. Ireland’s two early years frameworks, Aistear the Early Childhood Curriculum Framework and Síolta, the National Quality Framework for Early Childhood Education will also inform this work.

To ensure the tool kit created is efficient and effective in supporting children’s learning and development we are asking educators and parents in each of the participating countries to share their experience and knowledge in the initial stage by taking part in a short on-line survey. The survey will remain open until 15th March, 2017.

Thank you in advance for assisting us by completing this survey.
