Tigers Childcare are looking to recruit experienced, dedicated, professional room leaders to join our team of childcare professionals in our full day care creche based in Brayton Park, Kilcock, Co. Kildare.

Hours:42.5 hours (40 hours as per roster & 2.5 non-contact time) Monday to Friday.
Position: Room Leader – Wobbler room
Start Date: ASAP (subject to reference checks and Garda vetting clearance)
Paid Non-Contact Time: 2.5 hours per week
Salary: Room Leader : €14.00-€15.75
Room Leader Graduate : €15.50-€17.25

Candidate Requirements for Room Leader: 
(Candidates who do not meet the requirements listed will not be considered):
Candidates must have at least 1 years experience in a similar role.
Candidates must have at least 3 years’ experience post degree, in an Early Years Setting.
Candidates must hold a minimum of Fetac Level 6 (or recognised equivalent) in a childcare qualification.
Candidates who hold a Level 7/8 qualification are preferred.
Candidates with LINC qualification are preferred.
Candidates must provide copies of qualification and 2 x written references at time of interview.
Candidate details will be submitted for Garda vetting.
Candidates who have lived outside of the jurisdiction for 6 months or more must provide international police vetting.
Duties & Responsibilities of Room Leader:
(Duties will be discussed in full at time of interview. A brief outline is below):
To act as a positive role model and lead the staff team in the room in the delivery of a programme of the highest standard and in accordance with Aistear and Síolta both indoors and outdoors.
To support and assist in the provision of full time day care of the highest quality, in a holistic setting.
To, guide, observe, stimulate and supervise children in a safe and caring environment as part of the childcare team.
To act, if required as a key worker to specified children.
Ensure the safety, security and well-being of all children in your care.
To adhere to the Child Care 1991 (Early Years Services) Regulations 2016, the Child Care Act 1991, and all other relevant legislation and Regulations.
To adhere to good practice guidelines in relation to Aistear, Síolta, and policy documents.
Ensure the safety, security and well-being of all children in your care.
To ensure all quality and safety standards are maintained in the Service always with specific responsibility for your designated room.
To be knowledgeable of all policies and procedures and to follow them accordingly.
