Childcare Practitioner

Management of Liscarroll Community Childcare Facility CLG wish to recruit the following positions:

1 x Full Time Childcare Practitioner

Liscarroll Community Childcare Facility CLG is a full day care community childcare facility catering for children from 6 months to 12 years of age. The successful candidate will work in partnership with Management and the Board of Directors to ensure the efficient running of the service, providing a high-quality childcare service to the children & families of the local area.
The successful candidate will be offered a minimum 12-month contract.

Expected start date would ideally be 15th August 2022.

The Childcare Practitioner will:
• Supervise and monitor the safety of children in their care.
• Work as part of a team within the centre with the potential to grow with further training and development.
• To be a key worker and maintain observations and records of individual children’s development and link these to Aistear
• To follow our play-based ethos and curriculum, organise activities that allow children to learn about the world around them and explore their interests.

Our Ideal candidate will have:
• Qualified with a minimum Level 5 in early childhood studies
• Minimum 1 year experience in an early years service
• A good working knowledge of Aistear and Siolta
• Have a friendly, caring nature with a passion for working with children
• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well in a team as well as use their own initiative
• Experience and flexibility to work with all ages where required
• Up to date training in Manual handling, First Aid and Food hygiene desirable

The successful candidate will be required to undergo Garda Vetting.
