Job Vacancy – Pre-School Manager Position

We are currently recruiting for a full-time permanent Childcare Facility Manager. The person must be outgoing creative and have a genuinely caring nature as well as excellent interpersonal and communicational skills. Ideally the position might suit a person who has experience at childcare level and is seeking to move into an office based role We are a full-time facility caring for children aged 16 mts – 6 yrs and are located in the Dublin 4 – Ballsbridge area – close to both a Dart station and bus stops.

The start date is from October 2022. The position is permanent and full time – 40 Hours per Week – Monday to Friday.

The successful candidate must have:
• The successful candidate will be highly organised with an ability to work as part of a cross
functional team.
• Leadership, team work and communication skills are key to success.
• Excellent attention to detail and an ability to manage the running of a crèche and staff as well as
the ability to implement quality early childhood curriculum & creative skills to develop age
appropriate activities will be of the utmost importance in this position.
• The successful candidate will ideally be educated to a minimum Fetac Level 7 in early childhood or
equivalent.
• Management experience.

Roles and Responsibilities
• Responsible for all office administration, including day to day book-keeping, staff salaries and
general administration and office equipment
• To maintain accurate and up-to-date records for all aspects of the business
• To have a sound knowledge and understanding of various DCYA/Pobal programmes such as ECCE and NCS.
• Oversea the daily running of the facility; including but not limited to reviewing daily programs,
observations, staff performance and administration duties
• Ensure the crèche operates within the crèche policies and procedures along with ratio, legislation &
any regulations requirements
• Implement any necessary facility programs, systems and operational processes to ensure the successful
running of the childcare facility.
• Develop positive and open professional relationships with families, children and staff
• Meet with parents of prospective children and carry out viewings.
• Provided effective support, guidance & mentoring to staff members of the facility
• Ensure rosters & staffing of the centre are well organised
