How to Track your Garda Vetting Applications
The new Early Childhood Ireland Garda Vetting: Tracking Dashboards are designed to streamline the vetting process by making it easier to track current applications and notify members when applications are approaching the three-year revetting deadline.
To use this feature, simply login to the Early Childhood Ireland website and navigate to the My Account – Early Childhood Ireland space on our website
Why Use These Dashboards?
These tracking dashboards ensure greater efficiency and transparency in the Garda Vetting process and will support members with Garda Vetting compliance.
To track the statue of your current Garda Vetting Applications on the An Garda SÃochána Website:
Visit: https://vetting.garda.ie/Track
To track your application, enter:
- Enter the application ID number(from the email received from Early Childhood Ireland)
- The applicants date of birth
Breakdown of Each Application Step on the Garda Vetting Tracker

| Statement | Description |
| Invitation received by NVB | Early Childhood Ireland has submitted the applicant’s details to the National Vetting Bureau |
| Invitation being prepared by NVB | The National Vetting Bureau is preparing an eVetting invitation which will soon be emailed to the applicant |
| Invitation sent to applicant | The National Vetting Bureau has emailed a link to the applicant to invite them to be vetted and complete all addresses from birth to present. This link will stay live for 30 days, however, please remind the applicant to check their email and complete the link as soon as possible to avoid any delays with their application |
| Application cancelled by applicant /Application cancelled by registered organisation:

The application has been cancelled by the applicant or by Early Childhood Ireland on request of the applicant or setting |
| Application awaiting review by registered organisation | The application is ready to be reviewed to see if the correct information has been provided. If all the relevant information is correct, then it will be submitted to the National Vetting Bureau for processing. If all is not correct, then it will be returned to the applicant to complete again.

| Application submitted to NVB for processing | The application has been submitted to the National Vetting Bureau (NVB) for processing. The NVB will carry out enquiries for each application with An Garda SÃochána or other external relevant agencies, to establish whether there is any criminal record or specified information relating to the applicant |
| Application schedule for completion | This status does not always appear on the status history, but when it does it usually means that the application is near to completion of a section of the vetting process, it does not mean that the application will be completed and returned to you shortly. It must go back into progress before that step |
| Application in progress | The Vetting Bureau are actively still working to process this application. The average processing time from the date the applicant completes the link is 8-10 working days |
| Application process complete | The completed vetting, called a disclosure, has been returned to Early Childhood Ireland and will be returned to the setting that applied for it within 24/48 hours of the working week |
| Disclosure viewed | The completed application has been viewed and returned to the setting’s vetting contact |
| Download expired | After 30 days online access to the disclosure expires |
Additional steps you may see occasionally on the status history
| Application Rejected | The application has been rejected by the National Vetting Bureau, an email will be sent by the NVB to the applicant to explain why the application was rejected and a new application will need to be submitted |
| Disclosure being Disputed: | The disclosure was disputed by the applicant and is currently being re-processed by the NVB. Please see our website for further information on the disputes process |
| Dispute closed | The disputed disclosure has been completed and a copy of the outcome returned to Early Childhood Ireland and the setting |
