Have you tried our Chatbot?
Our Chatbot – What is it?

The vetting process can involve many moving parts, and it’s normal to have questions along the way. Our Chatbot is designed to streamline that experience by offering immediate, accurate, and straightforward information, right when you need it most. Whether you’re new to the process or simply unsure about one detail, the Chatbot can provide clear, accurate guidance within seconds.

If you’ve ever found yourself wondering “Do TY students require Garda Vetting?” or “What are the steps in the Garda Vetting process for an international applicant?” and you are not in the position for a phone call, or it is out of office hours – Our Chatbot is trained to assist you.

Where can I find the Chatbot?

The Chatbot can be found on the bottom right corner of the Garda Vetting section of the Early Childhood Ireland website. It can look like the image below or you can see a text icon asking ‘How can we assist you’. Think of it as your instant, always‑on vetting assistant, ready to help whenever you need it, 24 hours a day.

Our Members Love It — And They’ve Told Us So

Since launching the chatbot, members have been using it daily — and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. Many have said it’s fast, easy to use, and incredibly helpful, especially when they’re trying to complete tasks outside regular office hours. See some of our members’ feedback:

A Quick Tip for Getting the Best Response

If the chatbot does not understand your query – Don’t panic.

Like any digital assistant, the chatbot might sometimes need you to phrase your question in a slightly different way then you previously asked. Often, a small tweak such as adding a keyword (e.g. international student or vetting invitation) is all it takes for the chatbot to understand your question. Think of it as chatting with a search tool — the clearer the question, the better the answer.

Try It the Next Time You Visit

The next time you are on our Garda Vetting page, take a moment to open the chatbot and ask a question. You may find it quickly becomes your favourite shortcut — helping you get the right answers, right away.

Give it a try today and experience just how simple vetting support can be!
