GDPR Compliance

GDPR Compliance

Early Childhood Ireland is aware of the challenges that the new General Data Protection Regulation will bring to bear on services. We are pleased to announce that from next week we will be making available the template policies and procedures you will need to be fully GDPR compliant. As a member of Early Childhood Ireland this GDPR Policy and Procedures Pack is available free of charge.

Under GDPR it is a requirement that all staff are aware of their obligations in relation to the processing of data. We have negotiated an excellent offer for members to bring you a training programme and toolkit for €20 (this covers training for 2 staff members). This training programme is relevant for owners, managers and all staff working in an early years service with a responsibility for handling data. The 40-minute course will inform you of your obligations and the toolkit will assist you in applying the regulation to your service. We will also be updating our Early Childhood Ireland resources (child record form etc.) to ensure they are fully GDPR compliant.

We will contact all members directly next week with further details on distribution dates and how the GDPR resources can be accessed.

In the meantime, we have compiled all of the articles from our Support Point GDPR Series
