Garda Vetting Update – May 2018

May 29, 2018

Please note that the National Vetting Bureau has indicated that there is a delay in their Garda Vetting Processing time due to large numbers of retrospective vetting coming in along with regular vetting.  At present please allow for a fifteen-day turnaround from when the applicant has successfully completed the link sent to them from the National Vetting Bureau.

Please ensure you post in Garda Vetting applications to us as soon as you can, to help minimise the disruption caused by a longer processing time.

Our most recent Garda Vetting forms are in pdf to help minimise error when completing the form:
https://www.earlychildhoodireland.ie/work/operating-childcare-service/garda-vetting/garda-vetting-application-forms/

These forms can be filled out online but the signatures must be filled in AFTER the form has been printed out as we need to have original signatures – online signatures and photocopied/emailed forms cannot be accepted.

Once the applicant has submitted their information to the National Vetting Bureau, they can then track their Garda Vetting application by entering their application ID (the long number starting with ECI00………) and their date of birth, on the Garda Vetting webpage.

The Owner/Manager of the service also receives this information at the bottom of the email notification they receive, so they can also track the application. Make sure there are no spaces put in before or after the application ID number as it may not work.
