Garda Vetting Update 17 December 2019

December 17, 2019

Last Garda Vetting Update of 2019

A reminder to check your email over Christmas if you have submitted Garda vetting – your link may have gone to junk mail so please check there too!

Please allow extra time for Garda vetting to be processed over the festive season as the National Vetting Bureau and Early Childhood Ireland will be closed for the bank holidays, and ECI will be closed from 24 December and will reopen on 2 of January.

Troubleshooting – The National Vetting Bureau eVetting Application

Once you have sent in your Garda vetting forms (NVB1 Vetting Invitation Form and the Identification Verification form) to Early Childhood Ireland, you will receive a notification from us within a couple of days that your application has been sent to the National Vetting Bureau.

You will then receive an eVetting application email link from the National Vetting Bureau (NVB). If the eVetting link does not show in your inbox be sure to check your email junk folder as the email may inadvertently end up there.

If you have trouble trying to input your data into the link sent by the National Vetting Bureau:

  1. Use a desktop computer or laptop
  2. Use Google Chrome
  3. Try manually inputting your information i.e. typing in your email address rather than letting it self-populate.
  4. No spaces before or after data

There is a detailed guide on how to complete the eVetting online application form here. Further details on IT requirements can be found here: Supported browsers
