Garda Vetting Applications

Please send your Garda Vetting applications to us before 18 December to ensure they are uploaded into the National Vetting Bureau before Christmas, as our office is closed from 23 December – 4 January.

Please ensure there are 2 forms for every Garda Vetting Application –

Vetting Invitation Form NVB1 completed by the applicant, and an Identification Verification Form completed by the owner/ manager.

Please make sure handwriting is legible and that forms are correctly filled out.

Both forms must be sent together to Early Childhood Ireland’s office:

Garda Vetting,

Early Childhood Ireland,

Unit 12c Hainault House,

Belgard Square South,

Tallaght,

Dublin, D24 RFV0

GNVB Registration Number and Letter

We have noticed that several of our members have received a GNVB number and have been in putting it on the Garda Vetting Identification form.

If you have received your GNVB Affiliate Registration Number issued by the Garda National Vetting Bureau (GNVB), please email cdaly@earlychildhoodireland.ie with a copy of both sides of the letter, so that we can have you registered on the National Vetting Bureau portal. We cannot register you on the National Vetting portal without this letter.

If you don’t have a scanner just take a photo on your phone of both pages and email them to us.

If you haven’t applied for the GNVB Affiliate Registration Number we would urge you to do so as soon as possible, as it will be compulsory in the near future in order for you to access Garda Vetting, and the process can take up to three weeks. The process is outlined here

Have a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! from all of us in the Garda Vetting Department.
