Child Records

Child Records

Early Childhood Ireland has updated our Child Records Cards to ensure compliance with the new Child Care Act 1991 (Early Years Services) Regulations 2016.  We have developed an insert for the additional questions required for the Regulations.

If you are using the old records, you can download the Additional Piece for Child Record Cards here and insert it into your child’s records.  While the order of the questions has changed, rest assured that you will have all the questions required in this form.  Do let us know if you have any questions on this form.

The Regulations require you to keep a child’s records for two years.  However, for insurance reasons you are required to keep this information until the child reaches 21 years of age.

You can contact Sinéad in Support Point on 01-4040681 if you have any questions on the new Regulations.
