Early Childhood Ireland is urging its membership of 3,500 creches and preschools across the country, who support over 100,000 children and their families, to “make some noise to ensure that all candidates and political parties know how important it is to invest in childcare over the coming five years."

Parents will be delighted to hear Labour’s promise of childcare for €2 an hour. We would caution that the €500 million earmarked for this is too low.
