Time to Shine!

Time to Shine!

Did you read this Blog post last year? Thank you for the stories Rachel!

Or, were you in the audience on that wonderful day last September when people like Maxine O’Donoghue, Nickola Cullen, Anne Macken and Alicia Cormican moved the audience to tears with their beautiful stories of child centred practice and showed what committed educators they are?

Every year, we receive comments from parents, colleagues and services who have been inspired by educators, like those mentioned above, who have demonstrated exceptional dedication to their work with young children. These educators have an extraordinary ability to connect, tune in and communicate with children and families. Their passion inspires children to become curious learners, explorers and thinkers. Their practice supports the needs of all children and families as they lead and motivate others. These educators really recognise the importance and value of early years and see it as the foundation for a good quality of life and future success. It takes a special kind of person to make a real difference to a child’s life.

We know there are educators like this all over Ireland, reading this right now. But we don’t know about them unless we are told! And so….the search is on to find Ireland’s educator of the year. This is your chance to nominate a dedicated educator for an Early Childhood Ireland National Award.

Early Childhood Ireland Educator of the Year Award, sponsored by Wesco, seeks to pay tribute to those educators who go the extra mile to support and inspire children, families, colleagues and their community. This award reflects Early Childhood Ireland’s mission to inspire and enable members to provide quality experiences for young children and their families and improve everyday practice in early childhood care and education settings.

At Early Childhood Ireland, we believe that great educators deserve the highest awards for the passion, talent, and dedication they bring to the early years environment. These awards recognise our exceptional educators who go above and beyond to impact the lives of our children. We all know someone that we have recognised that has all the above qualities and we would like if you could tell us their story.

We are proud to celebrate the incredible work of all our outstanding Educators in Ireland.
