The Baby Room Project

Research tells us that the first 1000 days are the most important in every child’s life. These are the years when children form attachment, learn to communicate and when the brain develops life shaping connections.

Early Childhood Ireland wants to support services in giving the best possible care and education experiences to children in this age group.

We have linked with the Northamptonshire Baby Room Project, developed by Veronica Lawrence and her partners, and we have adapted it to the Irish context.

Early Childhood Ireland delivers a programme of workshops aiming to raise the quality of babies’ experience, increase understanding among practitioners and raise the status of those working with babies.
