The Marte Meo approach is centred around supportive interactions and interventions between children and their carers.

In early childhood services we recognise the importance of interactions and relationships for children’s learning and development.

Early Childhood Ireland has a cohort of staff who are trained Marte Meo Colleague trainers and are therefore able to deliver programmes, which aim to teach practitioners:

(1) about the key communication and learning strategies that children need for their cognitive, emotional and social development

(2) how adults can support children’s development in the daily interaction moments in childcare services
