Early Childhood Ireland is registered with the Garda Central Vetting Unit in order to process Garda Vetting Application Forms on behalf of our members.

New Members
All new and prospective members will automatically receive an Information Pack which will include:

A copy of the Early Childhood Ireland Policy and Procedures that have been put in place in respect of this process
Existing Members
If you are an existing member and require Garda Vetting Application Forms for new staff you can download a copy from the link below or you can contact Early Childhood Ireland on 01-4040659 and quote your Membership Number.

It is now possible to download a copy of the Garda Vetting Application Form.
Please note that this form must be printed, completed manually and posted to the Early Childhood Ireland office. Electronic copies of the form WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED, they must be completed by hand.
We can only offer Garda Vetting for members of Early Childhood Ireland so it is important to state your membership number on the form.
Completing the Form
Please remember the following when you are completing the Garda Vetting Application Form:

The form must be completed in full, using block capitals.

Please state N/A in sections where details are not applicable to you.

Writing must be clear and legible and should be in blue/black ballpoint pen.

Submitting the Form
Please return the completed form to the following address:

Only fully and correctly completed forms will be submitted to the Garda Central Vetting Unit for examination. Basic errors or incomplete information will delay the processing of applications.
No payment is required and the forms will be forwarded by return of post.
Results of the Vetting Process
Once the vetting process has been carried out by the Garda Central Vetting Unit, the results of the vet will be forwarded to the Early Childhood Ireland.
On receipt of these results the Garda Vetting Application Forms will be returned to the owner/manager of the childcare service.
