Léargas Study Visit to Norway 2014

Early Childhood Ireland is delighted to offer a wonderful Professional Learning Opportunity for Early Childhood Care and Education Trainers.

As part of the Léargas Leonardo Mobility Programme (Lifelong Learning) funded by the European Commission, Early Childhood Ireland are accepting applications from Early Childhood Care and Education Trainers to participate in a professional learning opportunity in Norway in October 2014.

This professional learning opportunity to learn more about the childcare system in Norway is in collaboration with Queen Maud University Trondheim.

Dates:

Sunday 12th October– Saturday 18th October 2014

Location:

Trondheim, Norway

Programme:

Seminars, discussions, meetings and visits to Early Childhood Care and Education settings with an emphasis on the outdoors and additional needs.

Cost:

Fully funded through the European Commission Life Long Learning Programme. (Léargas – Leonardo Mobility Programme)

Availability:

25 places

Priority will be given to:

  • Early Childhood Ireland Trainer members
  • Fetac level 5/6 Early Childhood Care and Education trainers
  • Trainers who have a recognized qualification teaching adult learners and are presently engaged in ECCE training
  • Quality Mentors
  • Individuals who can demonstrate a capacity and provide evidence of potential to transfer learning to the ECCE sector
  • Individuals who can demonstrate a clear interest in specific areas of ECCE relating to the host country.

  • Please complete the online application form.
  • Applications must be completed by Monday 25th August 2014

Please note: A selection criteria exists, candidates will be short listed and places allocated in accordance with the selection criteria.

Only applicants that have not previously attended a Leargas study visit will be eligible to apply.

Only individuals meeting the criteria for selection may apply.

All participants must be available to travel and return with the group, for the duration of the study visit.
