Early Childhood Ireland have been informed that Cool Milk Ireland will no longer be operating in the Irish Market, due to a number of unforeseen circumstances.
The following email was sent to ECCE providers from Cool Milk. We want to reassure our members that Early Childhood Ireland is currently looking at alternative options for members. We will keep you updated:
Good Afternoon,
In the past twelve months we have strived to develop the Cool Milk programme within the pre-school sector here in Ireland and have been encouraged by the support that we have received from the many Pre-schools that also wanted to ensure that every child has the opportunity to drink milk daily. Due to changes in legislation within the UK market our parent company has decided to close all Cool Milk’s European operations.
It is with regret that I have to announce that the business in Ireland will close down with immediate effect.We are trying to ensure that you will have continuation of supply and are speaking daily with major dairies that could assist in this matter.
Until we can verify the success of these negotiations we will not be able to supply any further milk after Friday 28th September 2012. We thank all of our customers for their support and encouragement during the building of this business and we hope that your children continue to enjoy all of the health benefits of drinking milk daily.
In the meantime may we wish you the very best of luck in following a similar programme and we will help as much as possible in these difficult times.
