Music

This programme is made up of 3 worshops as follows:

Workshop one: This workshop explores a range of musical concepts (for instance pitch; rhythm; speed, silence; duration; dynamics; pulse; phrasing) and considers how these can be creatively introduced to children through a combination of adult- and child-led playful experiences while connecting with the Aistear curriculum

Workshop two: This workshop introduces you to a wide range of musical instruments and other resources appropriate for Early Years music activities and various approaches to how these can be effectively incorporated throughout a music
workshop.  It also looks at the musicworkshop structure, and effective ways of delivering an experience in music and
song

Workshop three: This workshop focuses on kinesthetic sense and multi-sensory learning, i.e., feeling music with your whole body.  It draws from the teaching of Emile Jaques-Dalcroze, a swiss music educator, who believed that experiencing the
elements of music with the whole body led to a deeper understanding of those musical elements.
